Beginning Nosework - Searching for odor and focused response
Are you ready to train for one of the hottest new dog sports? In Beginning Nosework you will train your dog to find three odors (birch, anise, and clove), search with drive, and offer a focused response to alert you to their find. You will learn to read your dog as they search, and your dog will develop confidence as they drive the work. Each dog works one at a time, so even shy, and dog reactive dogs can train in a safe, comfortable environment. Dogs will need to be able to stay in a crate, or your vehicle, in between work. Beginning Nosework class runs six sessions, and is limited to six dogs. Classes are set to run 1 1/2 hours, however, if there are four dogs or fewer in a session, class will be one hour long. Six sessions for $150.00
(Once you reserve your spot, there will be no refunds unless your spot can be filled by another team. There are no official "Make ups" for missed classes.)
Tuesdays, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM, First class will be January 7th and will meet on continuous

NEXT LEVEL BEGINNING NOSEWORK - Next Level continues the work began in Beginning Nosework. Teams will continue to work on obedience to odor, focused response, and will be introduced to search elements such as Interior, Exterior, Container, Buried, and Vehicle searches. Pre-requisite is completion of the Beginning Nosework class.
The Next Level sessions will be held on the same day of the week and times as the prior Beginning Nosework classes. Priority is given to students keeping their day and time slot they previously attended.
